What’s the difference between Wink and Tracksuit?
Both survey people who buy in your category every month and report the same funnel against your competitors: awareness, consideration, usage and preference. They differ on what the starting price includes, sample size, speed to a first read, and countries. What they have in common:
- Setup is done for you
- You name the competitors and sign off the category. Tracksuit's in-house researchers build its survey; Wink [builds, translates and pilots its own](/#how-it-works).
- Trends are rolling averages
- Both report a three-month rolling average, refreshed monthly.
- Your whole team gets access
- Tracksuit gives every customer unlimited seats. Wink has no seat fees.
How does pricing compare?
Wink’s starting price is lower than Tracksuit’s published one in the US, the UK and Australia, and it includes unaided awareness, which Tracksuit sells as an add-on. Both starting prices cover one category in one country, with your brand plus five competitors.
Tracksuit’s figures come from its 2025 price lists for the US, the UK and Australia. Its product page still said “starting at $19.5k” in July 2026. The Australian list gives $19 500 a year with no currency named, and unprompted awareness at $7 000 a year.
Wink’s prices for every market are on the pricing page.
Which is better in the US, the UK or Australia?
Wink costs less at the starting price and includes unaided awareness; Tracksuit surveys more people a year in the US and the UK. Price the same setup with each to compare like for like.
- Sample. Wink adds 200 respondents a month after a 600 baseline. Tracksuit’s 2025 lists promise 4 000+ people a year in the US and the UK and 2 400+ in Australia, and its help centre gives a maximum margin of error of ±3.9%, or ±3.1% in large markets like the US.
- Speed. Tracksuit promises a benchmark read in 30 days. Trends take longer at both: Wink’s first rolling headline lands in month four.
- Unaided awareness. Tracksuit’s 2025 lists call it a recommended add-on for brands with aided awareness “typically over 40%”. Wink asks it first in every survey, before any brand names are shown.
Is Wink an alternative to Tracksuit in South Africa?
Yes. South Africa isn’t one of Tracksuit’s 25 markets, and Wink is built for it:
- Quotas by age, gender and province, so results reflect the national market.
- The survey runs in English and other South African languages.
- Prices in rand, on the pricing page.
To compare like for like, price the same category, competitors and add-ons with both.
